Mayureshwar Ganesha
Sindhu vs. Mayureshwar - Concept Art From Swayambhu, a graphic novel by Sumit Gawari (Graduation Project 2026, Unitedworld Institute of Design)
The composition is built on scale contrast. Sindhu dominates the frame: massive, red-skinned, mid-leap, weapon raised overhead with both hands, teeth bared, every muscle coiled with the absolute certainty of someone who has never lost. He fills the sky. Below him, small but completely unshaken, stands the child Ganesha, bow drawn, arrow aimed, utterly calm. That stillness is the point. The demon is all noise and force. The god is quiet. One arrow. That's all he needs.
The entire palette burns, deep red clouds, molten gold light rays cutting diagonally through the battlefield sky, the scene lit like something already on fire before the killing blow lands. The pencil hatching stays visible beneath the color washes, keeping the rawness alive, consistent with the novel's handmade visual language.
The visual goal: Make the viewer feel Sindhu's power, and then feel how little it matters.
